Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from Dodol Cat, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we do

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link.
• Text and controls are checked against WCAG AA colour-contrast ratios.
• Moving banners can be paused, and animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Cart updates, errors and loading states are announced to screen readers.
• Every page is scanned with automated accessibility checks (axe-core) before each release, alongside manual keyboard testing.

Known limitations

• Product photos currently use the product name as their text alternative. We are writing fuller descriptions of each design.
• Checkout and payment are hosted by Shopify on Shopify's own pages. We don't control how those pages are built; Shopify publishes its own accessibility information for them.
• Our Instagram page is run on a third-party platform with its own accessibility features and limits.
• We are a very small shop and have not yet finished testing with every screen reader and browser combination. Automated checks can't catch everything, so some problems may remain.

We reply to accessibility messages within 5 business days, and we'll work with you to get you what you need while we fix the problem.
